The Workshop The Workshop

Welcome to Christchurch Men’s Shed

We’re a friendly bunch who meet up, make stuff, fix things, learn new skills, share stories and enjoy each other’s company. Some of us are handy with tools, some just come for the tea and chat. All are welcome.

🛠️ The Workshop

We have a well-equipped workshop including wood and metal lathes, chop saw, table saw, wood planer, pillar drills and numerous hand tools. There’s plenty of space to work on your own projects or just pull up a chair, enjoy a coffee and see what’s going on.

Most members work on their own projects and occasionally work together on a community project.

Recent projects include:

•             Restoration of a clocking in machine

•             Numerous woodturning projects

•             Carving a 1960’s themed chess set

See additional projects in the gallery page.

All we ask is that you respect each other, work in a safe manner and tidy up after yourself.
